When I first installed Oracle 8.16,I can startup my database service. But after two days ,when I attempted to startup it,reported the error information :Error 1053,the service could not start in timely fashion.
So I select manual to start, insert to start parmeter: omsctl start oms. It showed as if the services has started successfully. Then I use sql/plus, but reported: Oracle not Available. How can I sovle this problem? By the way: I first set it to start automatically after installation and changed it to start mannualy sometime later. Dose it do some matter?
