Hi ,
my client machine(Win 98)need to be configured. when i start net8 it doesn't start, but the jrew process is running for that(checked with task manager).
Every time i need to edit the tns file manually.
what possible reason ?

Same problem in win 2000 PIV when tried to configure for multiple DB.

There has been issues with Oracle 8i/9i and Pentium IV based machines. The problem affects all applications using JRE and there has been fixes to this problem.
