Installing dev6i on a Compaq Evo. I have done a typical installation of Reports and Forms Developer. when attempting to run Net8 Easy config I am getting a jre.exe error. I have manually updated the TNSNAMES.ora in the C:Dev6i home and am unable to connect to the instance.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

sory. I was away!
SYMCJIT.DLL is nothing but Symantec Just-In-Time Compiler library file.
It has some problems with oracle on P4 machines.
so try to rename them (as we discussed before).
and i beleive, you might also have a version conflict.
lik, checkout the comapitble versions between JRE, dev6i and oracle etc.
and if you have Many Java dev kits installed remove them, and have the one that is compabitle with above.
